INTRODUCTION Since time immemorial scents have been associated with changes of mood. It is widely believed, for example, that lavender promotes a feeling of calmness and wellbeing. Although a certain amount of folklore surrounds the use of aromatherapy products, some basic psychological effects are proven - so much so that commercial organisations invest large amounts in formulating compounds to influence consumers.

Your kit provides the means to fill a room with aroma by blowing air over a dish containing aromatic oils. These can be bought in high street shops - where their mood changing properties are usually described. Many of these are designed for oil lamps but will work equally well in your kit.
